Barbra Streisand’s Most Adorable Snaps With Her Grandchildren

Barbra Streisand is an absolute legend in the entertainment industry. One of the few entertainers to have been awarded an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award (EGOT), Streisand can really do it all.

After getting her start by performing in nightclubs and on Broadway in the 1960s, she soon transitioned to film and won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her iconic portrayal of Fanny Brice in “Funny Girl” in 1968. She continued to find success both musically and in Hollywood, even winning a second Oscar for her work composing music for the 1976 version of “A Star Is Born.”

One aspect of her life that isn’t in the public eye as much as her career is her love life. She was married to actor Elliott Gould for much of the 1960s, and together the couple has a son, actor Jason Gould. Streisand and Jason even appeared as mother and son together in “The Prince of Tides.”

After divorcing Gould in the early 1970s, Streisand went on to have a couple of other relationships over the next couple of decades with people such as Don JohnsonRichard Gere and Andre Agassi. However, she married the man who would go on to become her longtime husband on July 1, 1998. The pair have been happily married ever since, celebrating more than 25 years together. Today, Streisand and her husband, actor James Brolin, have a wonderful life together and have continued to show that some Hollywood relationships can stand the test of time.

While Streisand and James don’t share any children together, Streisand has become a loving stepmother to his sons, actor Josh Brolin and Jess Brolin, and daughter Molly Brolin. Now, she’s also a doting grandmother to Josh’s four kids with whom she’s shared some magical moments.

When Streisand’s stepson, Josh, and his wife, Kathryn Boyd, were expecting their first child together in 2018, the actor told People Streisand was over the moon.

“My wife got her a bracelet that said ‘Grandma’ on it and she started crying,” the “No Country For Old Men” star said.

He added in the lead-up to the birth, Streisand was very much the doting grandmother already.

“She is one of those… it’s annoying but in a really great way, (with) emails every day and like, ‘Hey, I thought of this name, what do you think of that? When can I come over and feel the baby?’” said Brolin, who also has two adult children from a previous marriage.

“She is really into it and I love that she is into it. I mean, it’s like very typical Jewish grandmother who is saturated by this event. It’s awesome,” he remarked.

Josh isn’t the only one who has taken note of Streisand’s seriously involved ways as a grandmother. Her husband, Jamestold Closer Weekly that the change in Streisand’s demeanor is evident “the minute a kid comes into the room.”

“She just changes as a person, she falls apart,” he gushed.

He added he loved seeing the way his wife switches modes when her maternal instincts kick in.

“She is persnickety. ‘Who put those flowers there? You moved that — that’s supposed to be on the table right there.’ The minute a kid comes in, all of that just goes out the window, and it’s really fabulous to see somebody disarmed,” he said.

Luckily for us, it’s not just Josh and James who are privy to Streisand’s loving ways. Many adorable moments shared between Streisand and her grandkids have been shared online as well.
